If you live in these wards {1,3, or 5) and would like to run for
council or if you would like to run for Town Clerk/Treasurer you
must file in February 2007 and Elections will be held in April 2007
Susan Armstrong and Fred Armstrong's terms end in 2009 {ward 2 & 4}
These are paid elected positions
Council meetings are every second Thursday of each month
beginning at 7:00 pm all residents are welcome to attend
The Town of Blair has received 2 grants:
A. 1998 OWRB REAP Grant to replace sewer lines in the amount of
$97,270.00
B. 2006 SWODA REAP Grant to replace water lines in the amount of
$75,000.00
The water lines that are being replaced are along the first, second,
and third blocks of Taylor Street
The sewer lines that are being replaced are along Hughes and Taylor
Streets and Warren Road and First Street
The Town of Blair Fire Department has recently received an
80/20 Grant from the Oklahoma Department of Forestry. The grant is
for 20,000.00 and the Town will have to add 5,000.00 to this. Funds
will be used to add the final bay to the fire station.
