Mission
Statement: Our mission is to approach every project as if we were our own customer. From project start to finish, the customer, whether it be a general contractor or a private individual, is treated with professionalism and courtesy. Your project will be constructed with precision and strength, so you don’t have to worry if the job was done right. We have grown slowly over the last 30 years which, has enabled us to continue to provide a high quality of work through each growth phase. We look forward to continued growth with still providing that same quality of work.
Brief History: Hokett Construction, Inc. was founded in 1976 when Darell Hokett (owner) purchased a small motor-grader, single-axle dump truck and a small Case backhoe. He began digging storm cellars, hauling sand, and constructing building pads. The company office was run by Joy Hokett out of their home.
In the early 1980s, the company purchased its’ first asphalt paving machine. For the majority of the 1980s, projects consisted of parking lots and driveways. The magnitude of the projects progressed to include contracts with Altus Air Force Base and residential construction in the 1990s and 2000s. In 2003, Hokett Construction, Inc. moved the office to the current location.
In 2006 we purchased a 150 tons per hour hot-mix asphalt batch plant and Hokett Asphalt Products, Inc. was formed. Production will begin in early January of 2007, and we will provide several different types of hot-mix asphalt and cold-lay asphalt to the government and public, as well as supplying mix to company jobs.

They are also willing to take on new endeavors and do so with pride and success. Because they possess a solid work ethic and are open to company growth and the challenges that come with it, Hokett Construction, Inc. & Hokett Asphalt Products, Inc. will continue to provide quality service for your construction needs.

Comments: The Cities of Blair, Altus and surrounding communities as well as, the merchants and citizens of these communities help make Southwest Oklahoma a great place to live and work. We have seen significant growth in this region in the recent years and believe the best is yet to come. We look forward to working “hand and hand” with local developers, engineers, contractors and suppliers to assist in the continued growth of Southwest Oklahoma.

NOTE:
We own and operate a local sand pit permitted through the Oklahoma Department of Mines. Please allow for at least 1 day lead time for all sand orders.
We try to keep sufficient amounts of various types and sizes of rock stockpiled at our yard however, you should allow at least 1 day lead time for rock delivery in case of a low stockpile.
